Sale of a business

Michael Lim was fantastic in helping us with the contract and the sale of our café. He was professional, knowledgeable and made the whole process much easier for us. Michael explained everything clearly, responded to our questions quickly and made sure everything was handled properly from start to finish. Selling a business can be stressful, but we felt confident knowing Michael was looking after the legal side for us. We really appreciate all his help and would highly recommend Michael to anyone needing assistance with a business sale or contract.

Compulsory acquisition

I chose Project Lawyers and in particular Maysaa Parrino to assist me through the complex process of a compulsory acquisition. I found Maysaa an exceptional lawyer but most importantly a direct and strong communicator. Persistence, team work (thank you Matt for all your work as well) has provided the keys to achieve the best outcome possible. Thank you.

Strata renewal, from proposal to the Land and Environment Court

Since November 2016, owners have been able to redevelop or collectively sell their scheme with a 75% majority through strata renewal. It is a procedurally complex area, with many legislative requirements, meetings and documents to complete before a matter reaches the Land and Environment Court.

Strata renewal proceedings are heard in Class 3 of the Court. Our experience in strata law and in Class 3 proceedings for the compulsory acquisition of properties and businesses equips us to advise lot owners, owners corporations and developers on strata renewal plans and proceedings.

If a strata renewal proposal or plan lapses, a substantially similar proposal cannot be given to the owners corporation within 12 months, so getting the process right the first time matters.
